Originally on The Marlowes, we moved into The Marlowes Shopping Centre in 1996, where we continue to provide expert care. Many of our patients have been with us for decades, some across 3 generations, reflecting the trust and continuity at the heart of our practice.
Founded by David Pressman BSc (Hons), A.B.D.O, the practice has been built on the belief that expert eye care should always feel personal. Over the years, David has developed a reputation for tackling even the most complex prescriptions and providing outstanding eyecare, believing that no prescription is too obscure. His commitment to excellence has guided the practice since day one, creating a space where patients feel at ease, confident and valued.
We provide a full optometry service, from comprehensive 45-minute eye tests to advanced diagnostic imaging. Our technology includes the Essilor AVA VR 800, the most accurate phoropter in the world, and the state of the art Topcon OCT scannner for detailed 3D retinal scans. We’re also specialists in varifocals, with David serving as a Varifocal Consultant for Essilor.
Alongside clinical expertise, we offer a carefully selected range of designer and classic eyewear, advanced lenses and coatings, prescription sunglasses, and lens cosmetics for high prescriptions. We also provide spectacle repairs, reglazing, and specialised tints for medical conditions such as epilepsy, ensuring every frame and lens is both precise and perfectly suited to your needs.
Our philosophy is to combine precision and expertise with a warm, welcoming approach. Every examination is carried out personally by our optometrist Mrs Anita Jones, and every lens and frame is selected with care, so patients always feel valued and at ease, whether it’s their first visit or they’ve been with us for many years.
